LAJF 2019-2020 Annual Report

We are excited to announce the publication of our Annual Report for the 2019-2020 fiscal year. Please click here to read the report.

For LAJF, the 2019-2020 fiscal year was full of surprises, innovations, and new opportunities in the face of the COVID-19 global pandemic and its impact. With no in-person Camp Rising Sun program over the summer and international travel being suspended throughout most of the world, the LAJF staff were hard at work reorganizing, restrategizing, and reimagining how to fulfill our mission.

In the past year, our staff has exhibited great resilience and explored new opportunities for our organization and programs. In the summer of 2021, we developed and implemented virtual programs for more than 104 young, future leaders from around the world.

The past year has brought with it hardship for millions of people across the globe. As we reflect on accomplishments made and opportunities gained, we recognize, with gratitude, the tremendous privilege we have in steering an organization with a mission, supported by hundreds of alumni and friends.

A few highlights from the year:

  • Our staff created and implemented Virtual Camp Rising Sun and intensive workshops to continue to reach our campers virtually.

  • We served over 104 young leaders through our virtual programs.

  • LAJF was awarded a grant of $93,000 from the Paycheck Protection Program, part of the CARES Act

  • We had 538 donors who supported our work.
