Winter Camp Day at Camp Rising Sun
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Winter Camp Day this past Saturday, March 5th!
We were happy to see so many familiar faces — CRS alumni, former Camp staff, and old friends — as well as many new ones — our wonderful community members and neighbors in Rhinebeck.
We spent the afternoon enjoying the beautiful Camp Rising Sun campgrounds — chopping wood, collecting and processing maple tree sap, bottling (and eating!) the maple syrup, sledding down our great hill, and so much more. Our Facilities Manager, Cameron, also cooked delicious Hungarian goulash that was the perfect thing to help us warm up in the cool weather.
This tradition of gathering everyone at Camp for maple syrup making has been going on for over a decade and this year was one of our favorite ones yet! Each season brings something new at Camp Rising Sun, and it was wonderful to be able to share this wintry experience with friends, new and old, and from near and far.
