CRS Staff Training 2024 Recap
CRS SUMMER STAFF TRAINING
As the sun sets on our staff training period here in Rhinebeck, we know the stars of the season will be coming soon. We couldn’t be more thrilled to share our excitement and readiness for the upcoming summer with all of you—alumni, families, and incoming campers! These past few weeks have been nothing short of transformative as we’ve prepared diligently to welcome 120+ young people to an incredible summer.
Staff training began with introductions and icebreakers, then delved into workshops and simulations that tested our skills and creativity. We made time for bonding and fun along the way, from hikes in the Catskills to sharing music, a variety show, ice cream and campfires together. A few days into our training, we had the unique chance to welcome our neighbors to campus and make new connections with the community just outside of Camp. A coinciding Volunteer Day also gave an opportunity for alumni to return to campus, helping Cameron pitch the final tents on Tent Hill. Each moment has been about honing our abilities to provide an unforgettable experience for each camper making their way to CRS. (...and ice cream. Some of the moments were about the ice cream.)
Among our staff team, we’ve witnessed friendships bloom, teamwork flourish, and camaraderie fill every corner of our grounds. Together, we’ve tackled challenges - like a heatwave - and celebrated successes big and small, reinforcing our commitment to fostering a magical environment for every member of our community.
As we stand on the cusp of camper arrivals, we are overflowing with anticipation for the adventures we know this summer will unfold. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has prepared the Summer 2024 season for success. It is the unwavering support of the alumni community that drives us to continuously strive for excellence.
We hope you’re ready to join us on this incredible journey. See you at Camp!
